Mary Matcham, daughter of Joseph Matcham (?), born 6 June 1755 in Belchalwell, married Robert Pitt (1740-1795) in 1770.
Mary emigrated to Australia as a free woman aboard the Canada with her 4 daughters and one son. This trip was organised by her cousin George Matcham who was married to a sister of Lord Nelson.
